Ing. Thomas Kubaczek

Operations Manager

Thomas Kubaczek is operations manager at the Austrian Mint, a position that gives him responsibility for, among other things, tool engineering, coin blank manufacturing and the minting of circulation coins, investment coins and collector coins. From day one he was closely involved in the production of the euro, and during the preparatory phase of the new currency he was euro project manager. Today, roughly one million euro and cent pieces are produced on a daily basis in his area of responsibility.

Lic. Alexandrina Morales-Meoqui, M.A.

Head of Sales

As Head of Sales at the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich AG), Alexandrina Morales-Meoqui, M.A., is responsible for the entire sales management process—from strategic market development to operational execution. Her area of responsibility encompasses the global distribution of proprietary products (bullion and collector coins) via distribution partners and trade partners, as well as retail shop sales. By leading the Sales Management, Customer Service, Retail Shop, and Logistics & Fulfillment departments, she ensures a seamless chain from initial contact to the worldwide distribution of the Austrian Mint’s products. Her primary focus lies in consolidating the market leadership of the Vienna Philharmonic bullion coin in Europe and consistently tapping into new international growth potential.
 

Dr. Gerhard Chlapek

Secretary General & CFO

Gerhard Chlapek has been Secretary General at the Austrian Mint since 2000 and its CFO since 2008. In this capacity he is responsible for accounting, treasury, controlling and risk management. He is also responsible for corporate investment management and is involved in the strategic alignment of the company.

Head of IT and Organisation

Michael Zwach has worked at Münze Österreich AG since 2008 and became Head of IT and Organisation in spring 2022. In addition to his strategic and operational IT duties, organisational topics and precious metal procurement fall under his responsibility.

Head of Marketing, Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement

Eric Stoklassa has been with Münze Österreich AG since 2000 and has held various marketing positions since 2003. As Head of Marketing, Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement, he combines traditional and digital marketing, brand management, data-driven campaigns, and e-commerce strategies. His particular focus is on creating a consistent, high-quality, and customer-centric brand experience in an increasingly digital world and driving the further development of the entire customer engagement architecture.

Mag. Dr. Claus Fischer

Head B2B Sales

Claus Fischer has been in charge of the Business-to-Business department at the Münze Österreich AG since 2011. In this capacity he is responsible for major clients in Austria and abroad who order coins, coin blanks made from precious metals and other services from the Münze Österreich AG.
